Terms of Service

Acceptance
By creating an account or using KindMark, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What KindMark is
KindMark is a consent-first platform for capturing confirmed evidence of positive human contribution. It is not a public reputation system, a rating service, or a ranking of people. It helps you collect recognition, verify it yourself, and build a private-by-default Standing profile.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate profile information and keep your account credentials secure.
- Only import evidence you have the right to use, and only represent your own contribution.
- Do not attempt to manipulate Standing through fake, automated, or coordinated recognition.
- Do not use KindMark to harass, defame, or impersonate any person.
Recognition and verification
Recognition submitted by the public is anonymous and becomes an unverified candidate. AI may suggest traits, behaviors, and outcomes, but those suggestions are never treated as fact. Only contributions you confirm count toward your Standing. A Standing Signature describes patterns in your confirmed contributions using cautious language; it does not make absolute claims about your character and does not compare you to anyone else.
Tips
You may display an external tip link (such as Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal). KindMark does not process payments, hold funds, or take a share of any tip. Any transaction happens entirely on the external service you link to, subject to that service's terms.
Content and ownership
You retain ownership of the evidence and profile information you provide. You grant KindMark permission to store and process that content to operate the service and to display only what you have chosen to make public.
Moderation
To protect the integrity of the platform, we may review, hide, or remove content that violates these terms, and may suspend accounts engaged in abuse or manipulation.
Disclaimer
KindMark is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. Standing Signatures are reflective summaries of confirmed evidence, not certifications, guarantees, or professional endorsements.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
